Book Reading Session 09 Mar 2015
- Any kind of desire is destructive; and desire for a woman causes double harm to one's mind.
- Before one understands what desire for a 'woman' means, it's necessary to understand the term 'woman'.
- Paramatma has created woman in the form of 'Shakti' (power, energy); Paramatma has created woman in order to activate man's energy.
- Thus 'woman' is 'Energy' and you have to accept her as Shakti. A woman has unlimited power to absorb (energy);
- she can fully develop the energy she has absorbed. She can develop it and bestow completeness to it.
- This creation is not only at the physical level; she can do so in everything and at every level.
- Man and woman are like the two wheels of a chariot that is .society, and society can't develop without these two.
- Man understood the powers possessed by women even before woman herself.
- Therefore men started suppressing women in order to prevent them from dominating men with their powers. Until today, women have been subjugated for thousands of years and this has unknowingly created an imbalance in society.
- It isn't possible to develop a balanced society until women's-power is balanced.
- A woman is less a man's wife and more a mother, because her basic nature is to be a mother.
- There has always been a woman somewhere in the lives of every Saint or a great personage who has inspired them either directly or Indirectly.
- That's why even among Gods and Goddesses, women have been given special respect.
- Thus a woman is 'Energy'. On the one hand physical desire for that energy destroys one's mind, and on the other hand
- It also destroys the constitution of Energy within us. Feelings of desire for women cause a lot of arm to the mind.
- 'Women' are not an object of sexual pleasure and enjoyment. Woman power is a place from Where one can obtain energy.
- When we consider a woman as an object of pleasure and enjoyment, we are ;poiling the place from which we can absorb energy..
- And when the place from where we can absorb energy itself becomes bad, how can one absorb energy?
- What meaning will one's life have if one doesn't absorb energy?- are cutting off our feet by spoiling the place from which 'our body can absorb energy.
- That's why amongst all other attachments, the longing for a woman can cause double damage, and one should avoid the desire for a woman. 'Lust' is even more dangerous than 'desire'. Lust can also destroy one's mind as well as man's body.
- The body of a woman has been eonstructed in sucl a way that she can quickly reach a state of satisfaction, whereas a man takes longer to reach that state. Thisi not only at the physical level but at the mental level too.
- A woman enjoys distributing things much more -than using them. A woman has a greater capacity of, absorption; she has a greater capacity for nurturing and. sharing. But women have greater expectations from men. All these are the practical special qualities of women.
- The more pure and holy the woman-element, the more these special qualities will be visible in a woman. The capacity to take risks and stake everything is inherent in woman.
- Whilst giving birth to a child' a woman gives everything he possesses to the child even when it is in her womb. That's why, whenever a spiritual revolution takes place in the world in future, it will be 'womanpower' that will activate it.
- This comes naturally to a woman; in her life she has an affinity for, and is connected simultaneously to several relationships. She may have just one physical body, but she has the capability to live in several forms (to play several roles).
- Whilst on one hand she is the mother of a child when she is pregnant, she is at the same time a wife to her husband; whereas a man plays the role of a husband to his wife, but is not simultaneously a father to his child (in the womb). He is detached from his child.
- For as long as a woman is not given equal status (with man), there is no chance of any spiritual revolution in society, because society will be crippled until then, and a crippled society can't ever progress.
- We are not doing women a favour by showing them respect; we are balancing human society by empowering women; and balance is necessary for the rogress of any society.
- Man will have to control his ego in order to be able to honour and respect 'women's 'energy'.
- All men are very arrogant about their male gender, even though all men have taken birth through a woman. By insulting women and giving them a secondary status, man forgets his own birth when he attacks his roots and forgets his mother.
- A man who has love and affection for his mother can never insult a woman. Several saints have understood this fact. That is why they have tried again and again in this direction (equal status for women) and are still trying.
- Future saints will also keep trying because this imbalance is so prevalent between men and women, that it'll take several years to rectify the situation. All saints are aware that this imbalance can'te rectified through their own efforts.
- Despite that each saint tries to reduce the huge imbalance between men and women in his lifetime and will continue to do so.
- " After saying this, Gurudev, closed his eyes and I felt as if some message had reached. deep inside me from him.
- Once man's mind becomes pure and holy, it slowly becomes stronger; and a strong mind is very effective. A powerful mind becomes the medium of Paramatma's energy, and a person with a powerful mind is beneficial for society.
- Thoughts are unnatural; they separate us from nature. But as soon as we go closer to nature, thoughts stop automatically.
- Using wrong words, or hurting someone through words, insulting someone with your eyes and causing offence, talking sarcastically and causing pain - all these acts are a kind of violence.
- Your spiritual progress can be judged by how many people are happy with you,. how many people you can make happy, and to how many people you can give love!
- There is a Soul within every body. Think of it as a 'small body which can't be seen. Chitta is the eye of that Soul. The Soul is more powerful than the body. That is why the energy of the Soul is more powerful than that of the body.
- Just as the body has eyes, the Soul also has eyes and that is called the Chitta. Thus we can call the Chitta the 'Eyes of the Soul'.
- The more inward this chitta goes, the steadier it will be; and the steadier it is, the more powerful and effective it will be. The more effective it is, the more subtle it will be; and one can sit still in one place and instantly travel thousands of kilometres through a subtle chitta with a speed that is faster than air and sound. One can obtain Shakti (energy) from the Supreme Being only through a powerful chitta.
- people with negative vibrations are always strongly attracted towards people with positive vibrations, and a change is brought about in their negative vibrations.
- Our Chitta should always be focussed within us because the more inward it is, the more steady it will be; and the steadier it is, the more powerful it will be.
- The ordinary man destroys it by thinking about bad
incidents and bad events from his past; or he wastes it by ego find fault with others.
Thus the Chitta-Shakti (mind power) _is_destroyed and the Chitta becomes weak.
Practise 1:
- He asked me to concentrate my Chitta on the Moon and to establish a subtle relationship between myself and the Moon; then he asked me to imagine that I had accepted the Moon as my Deity and surrender myself completely to it; to imagine that the cool, pure energy of the Moon was being showered on me; that I was experiencing coolness in the light of the Moon and I could especially experience the coolness on my Suryanadi(right channel); that my liver was slowly becoming cooler and I experienced inner peace through that spiritual practice. Practise 2 :
-
He asked me to imagine that I was sitting on my mother's lap and asked me to sit on the floor with the
same carefree feeling of belonging. He asked me to surrender completely to Mother Earth and
pray that "I have surrendered completely to you. Please make my Chitta pure and strong."
There is no better way than prayer. sit on the ground and first of all bow down to the earth. and then
pray with all faith to the earth - "we are surrendering ourselves completely to you. Please cure us of our sicknesses through your power
of gravitation"
one will have to accept the earth element as a great Power and surrender completely to it
and establish oneness with it.
- Experience : All the bad energy within me started pulsating and my Chitta became pure and strong. There is a gravitational force within the earth, and our chitta is purified when we establish oneness with the gravitational force through our prayers. We become pure and holy because of the earth element. The earth element purifies our body and mind, and bestows us with physical and mental stability. When one's Chitta becomes strong, the body becomes healthy.
- One can use the powers of nature if one so desires. We must have faith; and positive results can be achieved because of the faith.
